about Mason Glassworks

Mason Glassworks is situated at Mount Martha on Victoria’s picturesque Mornington Peninsula.

Surrounded by a tapestry of vineyards, spectacular rugged coastline, rolling hills and pristine sandy beaches, Mason Glassworks is perfectly located to provide its artist Paul Mason with all of the inspiration one could wish for when creating beautiful pieces of Lampwork and Fused Glass Jewellery for people to admire and fall in love with.
Paul Mason is passionate about Handmade Glass Jewellery.  After more than two decades with the Australian Defence Force instructing Fire Fighting, Weaponry and hosting the Defence Force ‘Foxtel’ TV Show ‘Defence Watch’, Paul chose to follow his ever growing passion for working with glass.
“Being able to create stunning individual Beads and Fused Glass pieces within a flame or kiln is extremely rewarding” says glass artist Paul Mason“At Mason Glassworks an enormous amount of skill and passion is applied to each piece of Jewellery to ensure its eventual owner is rewarded with a lifetime of wearing pleasure”.

Paul’s enthusiasm for exploration and his desire to experiment beyond the traditional boundaries of glass has led to a fresh, innovative and contemporary feel to his work through the unique use of colour, light and texture.

The incorporation of strong design with a thorough and precise understanding of the technical applications of glass has allowed Paul the freedom to create stunning pieces of work with both high, and at times, delicate visual impact.

Whether it is his bold use of traditional and contemporary Lampwork Glass Bead making techniques, or his fresh approach to Fused Glass Jewellery, Paul Mason remains committed to exploring the artistic and seemingly endless applications of glass.
