The creation of beautiful handmade glass beads can be achieved by using a number of different types of glass however the most commonly used is Soda-lime glass, often called "Soft glass". Soft Glass rods, produced in the 'Effetre/Moretti' and 'Vetrofond' factories in Italy are considered to be the most sought after and respected glass brands for Lampwork artists to use. It is only these two brands of glass that Mason Glassworks choose to incorporate within all of their glass bead creations.
